Commercial & Personal Underwriter

Are you a high-energy, results-oriented Underwriter who loves commercial and domestic insurance?

We’re looking for a Senior Commercial & Personal Underwriter to join our team and help us grow our business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for securing new business, managing relationships with brokers and insurers, and providing excellent customer service.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Secure new business by obtaining client information, preparing quotes, and managing relationships with brokers and insurers.
• Determine risks and premiums based on client profiles.
• Process new policies and handle renewals.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and brokers.
• Managing of appointments, retentions, renewals, non-payments, cancelations and confirmation of cover letters as well as insurance certificates.
• Understanding and integrating Howdie insurance products with our client’s portfolios
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external brokers, clients, insurers and other service providers.
• Assist with training and upskilling of team members
• Stay up-to-date on the latest insurance regulations and trends. 

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for insurance and helping clients.
• Time management and excellent organisation skills
