- Provide technical support and training to brokers
- Ensure compliance with FAIS and other regulatory requirements
- Assist with quotations, underwriting queries, and claims support
- Monitor broker performance and portfolio growth
- Collaborate with administrators to improve service delivery
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 10 years experience in short-term insurance sales or consulting
- RE5 qualification and FAIS-compliant
- NQF Level 4 or higher in insurance or financial services
- Proven track record in portfolio management and business development
- Strong understanding of short-term insurance products and regulations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple broker relationships
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
How to stand out from the crowd:
- An Established Network: You must have existing, active relationships with a broker base that you can leverage immediately.
- Sector Versatility: You have deep roots in the insurance world or have operated in a closely aligned industry – such as vehicle tracking or recovery firm – where you have worked directly with insurers and brokers.
- Admin and UMA Expertise: Previous experience within an Insurance Administrator or Underwriting Management Agency (UMA) is highly advantageous.
- Short–Term Specialist: You are a veteran of the Short0Term Insurance market, specifically experienced in navigating and managing non-binder broker relationships. You understand the nuances of how these brokers operate and what they need to succeed.
